Anurag Kashyap is the director of the 2022 Indian mystery-thriller film Dobaaraa (transl. 2nd time), commonly known as 2:12.  Pavail Gulati and Taapsee Pannu both appear in the movie. 

Officially, Dobaaraa is a remake of the 2018 Spanish movie Mirage.

It premiered at the London Indian Film Festival in 2022 and was released in theatres on August 19, 2022 to mixed to generally favourable reviews.

Critics gave Dobaaraa favourable reviews and praised Tapsee's acting and Kashyap's directing.

The movie received a five-star rating from DNA India's Rohit Vats, who also commented, "Dobaaraa is quick, dark, intriguing, disruptive, and has a multi-layered storyline."

 The Free Press Journal's Rohit Bhatnagar gave the movie a score of 4/5 and stated, "Taapsee is a brilliant actor, but her monotony destroys the mood, yet, the narrative is so compelling that you scarcely find time to divert yourself."

 "For a film like Dobaaraa, you have to have a type of mathematical exactitude on how to transition between timeframes, create a regular tempo, and so on," stated Amandeep Narang of ABP News in his review.

India's Grace Cyril A jigsaw puzzle will be pieced together by the audience as they leave the theatres, according to Today, which gave the movie 3.5 out of 5 ratings. [21] Dobaaraa received a rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars from Rediff's Namrata Thakker, who also stated, "If you aren't familiar with the time travel genre, Dobaaraa may appear confused.


Dobaaraa received a 1.5 out of 5 star rating from Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express, who also said, "Dobaaraa comes out too choppy and confusing. The numerous events that are occurring in the various time zones that the film jumps between are difficult to follow. [28] The film received a 1.5 out of 5 star rating from Bollywood Hungama's Taran Adarsh, who added that "The languid pace of the storyline and sophisticated presentation act as hurdles," and that "Dobaaraa is a mature love story that will appeal more to the intellectuals at metros." [29] Dobaaraa contains a lot that is left unsaid and needs to be comprehended, and that is where the convoluted and intricate storyline functions, according to Monika Rawal Kukreja of The Hindustan Times. [30] According to Anuj Kumar of The Hindu Anurag deftly crafts a more insightful version of the original Spanish mystery thriller while Taapsee is at the peak of her game.
