Plot

Gargi is a teacher who comes from a poor household that includes her mom, who sells homemade rice batter, her younger sister, Akshara, a middle school student, and her father Brahmanandam, who works as a security guard in an apartment complex. When dad gets charged with child abuse along with four other guys, their lives become a complete mess. Gargi is unwavering in her determination to establish her father's innocence since he is her hero for saving her from a perverse instructor when she was a little child and inspiring her to confront such evil.

Even a close family friend who is a prosperous lawyer abandons them when they are the target of public resentment. However, his no-note assistant, Indrans Kaliaperumal, decides to defend them because he has nothing to lose by doing so. When Indrans questions the investigating officer at the hearing, he learns that the victim was given a large dose of barbiturates in error, invalidating the victim's evidence that identified Brahmanandam as the offender.

He also encounters the victim's father, who confesses to having forced the woman to confess to the crime because she was so traumatised and incapable of functioning that she was forced to identify Brahmanandam. All of this calls into doubt the validity of the evidence, allowing him to secure Brahmanandam's conditional release on bail.

Gargi begins to question her father's claims that he had been drinking at the time when his coworker, who had earlier claimed to have been at home all day on the tragic day, accidentally admits that he had really been the first to notice the kid laying there and had called Brahmanandam. By returning to the kid and presenting her with a picture of the fifth offender, she is able to validate her assumptions.

When the youngster recognises him, it becomes clear that Brahmanandam was the guilty party, which results in his capture and conviction. Gargi steps outdoors for a time to reflect in silence on this atrocity. We learn that she and her family have moved on after making amends with the victim and her dad as the credits begin to roll.
